“The Treaty of Paris Proclamation Returns to Annapolis!”
A Comprehensive, 3-Day Experience Focusing on the Years 1774-89
Exhibition highlights include:
- The Treaty of Paris Proclamation (above, right), officially ending the Revolutionary War. This is the first time this broadside will be displayed in Annapolis, where it was created and then signed by President Thomas Mifflin and Secretary of Congress Charles Thomson on January 14, 1784.
- An extremely rare 1775 manuscript copy of the Articles of Confederation.
- A compilation of unique Revolutionary War and Founding manuscripts, documents and letters written by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Elias Boudinot, John Jay and other leaders, including signers of the Declaration of Independence (in Maryland: Samuel Chase, William Paca, Thomas Stone and Charles Carroll) and presidents who served the United States before George Washington.
- Daytime and evening lectures covering the entire 1774-89 period by noted scholars in the U.S. Founding Field (see below).
- Author signings, book sales, historic memorabilia and special events for the entire family, including short films and trivia contests (scroll down to see all schedules: lectures and book sales, film screenings and children's activities).
