The First National Continental Congress Festival, "The Treaty of Paris Proclamation Returns to Annapolis," was a huge success. The talks were televised on C-Span and featured lectures on such topics as the creation of a Continental Navy and the selection of Annapolis as the national capital in 1783, and included speeches by the Mayor and State Archivist. The University of Maryland's television station filmed on the second day.  The third day highlighted the National Continental Congress Center concept as a fitting conclusion to an event attended by over 300 people.

The Second National Continental Congress Festival, "Prelude to Philadelphia: The 1786 Annapolis National Convention," September 11-14, 2013 at the Masonic Lodge, featuring the "America's 14 Forgotten Presidents of Congress" exhibit, will showcase the important role Annapolis played in the formation of the United States as the bridge between the end of the Revolutionary War and the Constitutional Convention.
